Now that Winter Storm Cleon and the Polar Vortex are behind us, we’re ready to shed a few layers for a great cause! The annual Suits & Boots event is right around the corner and brings out the inner adventure seeker from even the tamest do-gooder – all in the name of charity. We’ve teamed up with an incredible organization, Heroes Project, which changes lives for our nation’s veterans, one Hero at a time.
As if making a difference for a great organization isn’t enough, we one-up ourselves and add a chance to win a Club Med getaway, complete with roundtrip airline tickets and some pretty sweet Red Bull luggage. Now, if you’re anxiously wondering how to get your hands on some tickets to such a crazy awesome event and don’t want to keep reading, you can stop now and head to topgolf.com/suits to sign up before they’re all gone! Or if you’re already signed up and just reading this to find out what else we can do to make this event even more incredible, then you’ll be glad to know, there’s MORE!
They say bad things happen in threes. They also say that there is light at the end of every tunnel. This story is a true testament of both.
Every month, I host a Platinum Member event. I began planning my first Platinum event in early October. I was so excited that my FIRST event would coincide with my holiday party! I pulled out all the stops – formal attire, passed hors d’oeuvres, carving stations and musical entertanment. I even secured a liquor rep that sponsored our cocktails for the evening. Two bartenders, three bay hosts, two event mangers, one busser and five platinum hosts later…I was ready to rock! That’s when it happened…
For several days, Dallas news media forewarned residents of the impending doom that is Icepocalypse 2013. Our city (myself included) went into a frenzy of panic buying and gas-tank filling. You know it was a truly desperate situation when even the choices for healthy food became scarce:
The conditions turned out to be just as poor as the meteorologists predicted: Dallas froze over. Schools closed. The Dallas Marathon was canceled. Nearly 4,000 people slept at the DFW Airport. Road conditions have been near-impossible to manage safely, with hundreds of accidents and stalled vehicles — even people stuck in traffic in excess of 10 hours. TEN HOURS…IN A NON-MOVING VEHICLE!!!! Needless to say, the TopGolf home office closed, along with all three of our DFW locations in Allen, Dallas and The Colony.
So, what’s a girl to do? Throw on her PJs, bake her sorrows away, and turn to Twitter for entertainment, of course! Yesterday made for some fun conversations in the TopGolf Twitterverse. See our epic war with the Dallas Zoo against Winter Storm Cleon after the jump…
When we said Fun Doesn’t Hibernate, we meant it! Here at TopGolf, our associates like to stay busy whether it’s going above and beyond for a guest to filming our very own Sani-Hands commercial. Jamie Hatley, also known as “Barbara”, decided that an instructional video on how to use Sani-Hands was something that had to be done. Watch out OxiClean!
Sani-Hands, for the things you don’t want people to know about.
Well, the stuff-your-face, two drinks in-hand, party till you drop day of gluttony has passed. TopGolf’s first ever Crawfish Boil turned out to be a huge success due to the hard work of our associates and the large appetites of our guests! The crawfish went fast, as eyes grew wide and guests piled their plates – Round 1. Round 2. Round 3…and so on until 400 pounds of those tasty little critters were no more. Their lovely aroma, however, lingered until the wee hours of the morning, a treat to some and to others, not so much.
After selling out each of the four events this past January, “Suits and Boots” is quickly becoming the event of the year at TopGolf. The event calls for guests to come out with friends sporting their swimsuits and braving the cold to play TopGolf for a chance to win a trip to a tropical destination all while raising money for local charities. Mix some fishbowl beverages in with dance music and you get a memorable party.
